Objective
Our clients aim was to design & build a barbershop with a warm and welcoming atmosphere with an aura of luxury. A stark contrast, but we eagerly embraced the task. Their goal was to offer their clients a comfortable hangout that aligned with their aesthetic while efficiently streamlining their services and allowing for future expansion. We were given free reign on design and layout along with the following requests: 1 Reception area, 1 seating area, 5 Cutting stations, 1 shampoo and wash station and 1 bathroom all within a total gross floor area of 550SF.
Grand luxury in a modest space
Meeting both the client's business requirements and aesthetic aspirations was no simple feat. Our team embarked on a mission to make every inch count. We developed comprehensive mood boards, interior design renderings, and FFE (Finishes, Fixtures, and Equipment) schedules for our client's approval. We supplied and installed epoxy floors, faux concrete walls, floating cutting stations, and a custom reception desk and incorporated an ample amount of practical and ambient lighting.These elements not only empowered their barbers to deliver exceptional services but also created an ambiance that set the perfect mood. The synergy with our clients allowed us to turn constraints into opportunities, resulting in a small space that truly delivers on both form and function.
Maximizing revenue & optimizing comfort
Our clients were determined to maximize the number of cutting stations in their space. Adding more chairs meant that they could serve more clients. Achieving the right balance between effective workspaces and an optimal customer experience was like solving a tricky puzzle. We mapped out customer flows which helped determine clear walkways, ideal placements for cutting stations, and any bottlenecks that may occur. After numerous iterations, we finalized on a layout that not only felt spacious but also exuded serious style, while successfully fulfilling our clients' objectives.
